THE BENEFITS OF SALVATION.

Key Scripture.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”
— Ephesians 2:8 (KJV)

INTRODUCTION.

Salvation is the greatest gift God has given to humanity through Jesus Christ. It is more than escape from hell; it is a complete transformation of life, destiny, and relationship with God. THE FOUNDATION OF EVERYTHING

WEEK 1: FOUNDATIONS OF FAITH

DAY 1: THE FOUNDATION OF EVERYTHING

📖 Scripture.

Genesis 1:1 — “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

John 1:1 — “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

🌅 Opening Thought.

Every building needs a strong foundation. If the foundation is weak, no matter how beautiful the building looks, it will eventually be threatened.

The same principle applies to our faith.

Before we ask, “What is my purpose?”, we must first answer, “Who created me?”

The Bible begins with a powerful declaration: “In the beginning God…”

It does not begin with humanity. It does not begin with science, government, wealth, or problems. It begins with God.

Before there was a world to explore, there was a Creator. Before there was time as we know it, God existed. Before you were born, God already knew you.

You are not an accident. Your existence has meaning because your life comes from God.

🔥 TEACHING:

EVERYTHING BEGINS WITH GOD.

Genesis 1:1 establishes God as the Creator and rightful Lord over creation. John 1:1 takes us even deeper by revealing that the Word was with God and was God.

This means our understanding of life must begin with God rather than with ourselves.

When we recognize God as our Creator, several truths become clear:

  1. GOD IS THE SOURCE OF ALL THINGS.

Everything we see in creation points us back to its Source.

Your life, abilities, opportunities, relationships, and resources are not ultimately independent of God.

Acts 17:28 reminds us that “in him we live, and move, and have our being.”

Therefore, gratitude should become a lifestyle.

  1. THE CREATOR HAS AUTHORITY OVER HIS CREATION.

If God created us, He has the right to instruct us concerning how we should live.

A manufacturer provides instructions for a product because the manufacturer understands how the product was designed to function.

In the same way, God’s Word gives us divine direction for life.

Psalm 119:105 says:

«“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”»

God’s commands are not designed to destroy our purpose. They guide us toward living according to His design.

  1. YOUR LIFE IS NOT MEANINGLESS.

Knowing that God created you changes the way you see yourself.

You may have experienced rejection, failure, disappointment, or seasons when you questioned your value. But your circumstances do not determine your worth.

You were created by God.

Psalm 139:14 declares that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Your life has purpose because your Creator is intentional.

  1. PURPOSE BEGINS WITH THE CREATOR.

Many people spend years asking:

“What should I do with my life?”

A better starting question is:

“Lord, why did You create me?”

When you know the Creator, you can begin to understand the purpose of the creation.

We discover our deepest purpose not by running away from God but by drawing closer to Him.

📚 BIBLICAL EXAMPLE: JEREMIAH.

Before Jeremiah was born, God already knew him.

Jeremiah 1:5 says:

«“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee…”»

Jeremiah’s life was not an accident. God had a purpose for him before his earthly journey began.

The same principle should encourage us today: your beginning is in God, and your purpose must be discovered in God.

💡 SPIRITUAL INSIGHT.

If God is the foundation of your life, then your faith should not collapse when circumstances change.

People may change.

Jobs may change.

Finances may change.

Opportunities may change.

But God does not change.

Therefore, build your life on Him.

Matthew 7:24–25 teaches us about the wise person who hears Christ’s words and puts them into practice. When the storms come, the house stands because its foundation is secure.

❓ QUESTIONS & ANSWERS.

Q: Why is it important to believe that God created the world?

A: Because it establishes God as the Creator and gives us a proper understanding of His authority. If God created us, then He knows how we were designed to live and can guide us according to His purpose.

Q: Does being created by God mean my life has purpose?

A: Yes. Scripture presents humanity as God’s intentional creation. Discovering that purpose requires seeking God and living according to His Word.

Q: What should I do when I feel worthless or insignificant?

A: Return to what God says about you rather than allowing circumstances or people’s opinions to define you. Your value begins with the fact that you are God’s creation.

📝 TODAY’S ACTION STEPS.

  1. Spend at least 10 minutes thanking God for the gift of life.
  2. Read Genesis 1:1–31 slowly and prayerfully.
  3. Write down three things in creation that remind you of God’s greatness.
  4. Ask God: “Lord, what do You want me to understand about my purpose?”
  5. Write one area of your life that you need to surrender to God’s authority.

🤔 REFLECTION.

Am I building my life on God, or am I trying to build my life without Him?

If God is my Creator, what area of my life do I need to place back under His direction?

🙏 PRAYER.

Father, thank You for being the Author and Creator of life. Thank You because my existence is not meaningless or accidental. Help me to recognize You as the foundation of my life. Teach me to trust Your Word, follow Your direction, and discover the purpose for which You created me. Let everything I do bring glory to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

📌 TODAY’S DECLARATION.

God is the foundation of my life. I am not an accident. I was created by God, I belong to Him, and my life has purpose. I will build my life upon His Word and walk according to His will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
